Artist Profile: Jerry Silverberg

Jerry Silverberg is an illustrator and theater director living and working in Toronto, Canada. He can translate what he sees around him into images that quickly and evocatively represent this complex world. He works in many mediums including sculpture, prints and paintings. He has shown his work in many galleries and cafes throughout Canada and is represented in many collections in Canada and the United States. As a commercial illustrator, Jerry’s work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, Walrus Magazine, The Literary Review of Canada, This Magazine, The Washington Post and The New York Times. Commissions include Poster designs for Dance Performances and Book covers. He is also the Artistic Director of the Award winning touring Theatre Company for Young and Family Audiences.
