Artist Profile: Brian Jensen

Brian Jensen is a painter and illustrator living in a small lakeside community in Minnesota. Brian’s interest in art began with a set of watercolor paints and outdoor painting with his father, a graphic designer and accomplished watercolor painter. Brian graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1981 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a degree in Illustration. Since then Brian has worked as a professional illustrator counting Time Magazine and The Wall Street Journal are some of his many clients. In addition to his commercial illustrations Brian paints Midwestern scenes and icons with acrylic paints on museum rag board and directly on hardwood panels. The frames and woodwork are all handcrafted by the artist.
