As Peter says, “I find that, if I pay attention, I always find something interesting wherever I am, whatever I am doing. Paying attention is the most important thing.” His attention to details that explain all makes his work unique, instantly recognizable. Sometimes his drawings are complicated and realistic, other times they are simple and graphic or cartoon-like. His clients include Hershey’s, Nylon Magazine, ESPN, Columbia University, The New Yorker, IBM, The New York Times, Time Out New York, The Wall Street Journal, Saks, Amnesty International, Golf Digest, Dewar’s, New York Magazine, Nike, The Guardian, GQ and The Boston Globe. Peter also publishes his own hand drawn newspaper, Peter Arkle News. He has published 50 issues of his publication, the first while studying for his MA in Illustration at The Royal College of art in London.
