Dave is one of the most sought after illustrators in the business and his work can be seen in almost every major news and trade publication. Over the course of his 25+ years as an artist Dave has received numerous awards for his work - from associations such as the Society of Illustrators/NY, Society of Illustrators/LA, Society of Illustrators/Dallas, PRINT Magazine's Regional Design Annuals, the Society of Publication Designers, the Art Directors Club/NY, the Association of Educational Publishers (a 2005 Distinguished Achievement Award) and a CREATIVITY 28 award for illustration. In 2003 his first children's book, When I Wished I Was Alone, was named a “Best Of” 2003 Read to Me Picture Book by Borders. Most recently, Dave was one of 12 illustrators commissioned for NPR’s 2008 promotional calendar. CitiGroup chose Dave to illustrate the company’s collateral material for its Alternative Investments product, an assignment that earned him a Bronze Medal from the Financial Communications Society for excellence in financial service communications. His cover illustration for Nabi Biopharmaceuticals’ Annual Report was included in the Top 9 for Annual Report Illustration in the AR100 Annual.
